This is the second announcement from Eastern railway on Ganga Sagar Specials Trains. Earlier announcement was on EMU special local trains and now Eastern railway authority has announced two pair of special trains between Namkhana and Gorakhpur to clear the extra rush of pilgrims in Ganga Sagar Mela. Number of pilgrims in Ganga Sagar Mela in 2012 may break all previous records and that’s why state administration and railway authorities are taking all necessary measures.
From Gorakhpur the Ganga Sagar Mela special train will leave for Namkhana on 12 January, Thursday at 06.25 am and will reach Namkhana on 13 January, Friday at 3.30 am.
From Namkhana the Ganga Sagar Mela special train will leave for Gorakhpur on 15 January, Sunday at 11.30 pm and will reach Gorakhpur on 16 January, Monday at 06.45 pm.
Structure of the Ganga Sagar Mela special trains:
Six general second class coaches
Nine second class sleeper class coaches
One 3 tier AC coach
Two luggage vans
