To manage extra rush of passenger during Velankanni Festival, Southern Railway has decided to run pair of special
trains between Nagercoil and Velankanni. The details of the special trains are
given below.
Train No.06073
Nagercoil-Velankanni Special will leave Nagercoil at 9.30 p.m. on 28 August (Friday),
and reach Velankanni at 12.30 p.m. the next day.
In the return direction,
Train No.06074 Velankanni-Nagercoil Special will leave Velankanni at 8 p.m. on 29
August (Saturday) and reach Nagercoil at 8.05 a.m. the next day.
Route of the trains
The trains will stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti,
Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai,
Dindigul, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, and Nagapattinam.
Composition of the trains
One AC 3 tier coach, 12 sleeper class coaches, five
general second classcoaches,
and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
Reservation
for the above trains started on 13 August, Thursday
