Summer Special Trains 2023 on Konkan Railway Route


Central Railway to run 26 Summer Special Trains for Konkan region

Railways will run additional summer special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thivim to clear the extra rush of passengers during the vacations. Central Railway has already announced running of 916 Summer Specials and with these additional  summer specials, the total number of summer specials this year will be 942. The details of 26 specials are as under:

01129 will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 22.15 hrs o­n every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday from 06.05.2023 to 03.06.2023 and arrive Thivim at 11.30 hrs next day.

01130 will depart Thivim at 16.40 hrs o­n every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 07.05.2023 to 04.06.2023 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 04.05 hrs next day.

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Sawantwadi Road.

Composition: o­ne First AC cum AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class including two Guard’s Brake Van

Reservation: Bookings for special trains No 01129/01130 o­n special charges will open o­n 04.05.2023 at all computerized reservation centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in

Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express - Timing And Route

 Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express: Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will be the second Vande Bharat train in West Bengal, the first one being Howrah-New Jalpaiguri. 


The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will run from May 15. The semi-high-speed train is likely to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indian Railways conducted the trial run in April 2023. Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will be the second Vande Bharat train in West Bengal, the first one being Howrah-New Jalpaiguri. When introduced, the new train will run between Bengal's Howrah and Odisha's Puri.  First Vande Bharat Express was launched in 2019. Vande Bharat Express is faster with more prominent features than any other train in the country. The train was first launched for travel from the national capital Delhi to Varanasi. Now it will operate on several different routes across the whole country.

Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express: Timings

From Howrah, the train will likely be scheduled to leave at 5:50 am and arrive in Puri at 11:50 pm. 

Stoppages of Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express

The new Vande Bharat Express is likely to halt at a few major stations. These are – Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda. The train will halt for a duration of a two-minute at each station.


Speed of HWH-Puri Vande Bharat Express

The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express has touched the speed of 130 km per hour during its trial run.
