Introduction of South Central Railway Bi - Weekly Express Train between Kakinada Port and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus


As announced in the last Railway Budget 2013 – 14, Dr. M.M.Pallam Raju, Hon’ble Union Minister of Human resources Development flagged off a new Bi – weekly express train between Kakinada Port and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on 03/02/2014 at a function held at Kakinada Town Railway Station so as to people of Kakinada get direct connection to Mumbai, in presence of Sri K. Kanna Babu, Hon’ble MLA of Kakinada, Sri Pantham Gandhi Mohan, Hon’ble MLA of Peddapuram, Smt.Vanga Geetha, Hon’ble MLA of Pithapuram and Ms. Neetu Prasad, IAS, District Collector, East Godavari. Sri Pradeep Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager of Vijayawada, in his welcome address, said that the dates for regular run of the express train would be notified later. The trainwill run asper the following schedule below :

Running schedule of the Bi - weekly express train from Kakinada Port to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus: Train will leave Kakinada Port at 09.45 hrs. on every Wednesday and Saturday .Train will reach at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 11.05 hrs. on the next day.

Weekly Express Train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Kakinada Port

Running schedule of the weekly express train from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Kakinada Port : Train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.25 hrs. on every Thursday and Sunday .Train will reach at Kakinada Port at 13.45 hrs. on the next day.

Train No. 17221 / 17222 Kakinada Port – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Kakinada Port Bi - weekly express train will stop at the following stations: Kakinada Town, Samalkot Jn., Rajahmundry, Tadepallegudem, Eluru, Vijayawada Jn., Mangalagiri, Guntur Jn., Sattenapalle, Nadikode, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Maula Ali, Secunderabad Jn., Lingampalli, Tandur, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur Jn., Pune Jn. and Lonavala stations in both the directions.
