Introduction of New Weekly Superfast Express Train between Tirupati and Karimnagar in South Central Railway

To fulfill passengers’ demand and for the convenience of the passengers and with an aim to clearing passengers rush in Tirupati and Karimnagar route, a weekly superfast express Train No. 12761 / 12762 Tirupati – Karimnagar – Tirupati, was announced in the Railway Budget 2012 – 13, South Central Railway has decided to introduce the weekly superfast express Train between Tirupati and Karimnagar. This new train on inaugural run will be flagged off from Tirupati Railway station on 29/05/2013 at 15.30 hrs.

 The inaugural special Train No. 02761 from Tirupati to Karimnagar weekly superfast express will run on 29/05/2013 from Tirupati at 15.30 hrs. to reach at Karimnagar at 04.15 hrs. on the next day. The regular service with effect from 30/05/2013 (Inaugural service from Karimnagar).On regular service, the Train No. 12762 from Karimnagar to Tirupati weekly superfast express will run from Karimnagar on every Wednesday with effect from 30/05/2013 and on regular service, the Train No. 12761 from Tirupati to Karimnagar weekly superfast express will run from Karimnagar on every Wednesday with effect from 05/06/2013.

Running schedule of the weekly superfast express train from Karimnagar to Tirupati : Train will leave Karimnagar at 19.15 hrs. on every Thursday with effect from30/05/2013. Train will reach at Tirupati at 08.05 hrs. on the next day(Friday).

Train No. 02762 / 02761 Karimnagar - Tirupat – Karimnagar train will stop at the following stations: Peddapalli, Jammikunta, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Khammam,  Madhira, Vijayawada Jn., Gudur Jn., Sri Kalahasti and Renigunta Jn. stations in both the directions.

Composition of the Train No. 12762 / 12761 Tirupati – Karimnagar - Tirupati weekly superfast express train : One AC – 2 – tier, one AC – 3- tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.
