Introduction of New Weekly Air Conditioned Superfast Express Trains between Secunderabad - Shalimar and Kacheguda - Madurai In South Central Railway

To fulfill passengers’ demand and for the convenience of the passengers and with an aim to clearing passengers rush in Secunderabad and Shalimar route, a weekly AC superfast express Train No. 12774 / 12773 Secunderabad – Shalimar – Secunderabad and Kacheguda and Madurai route and a weekly express Train No.17615 / 17616 Kacheguda – Madurai – Kacheguda, those trains were announced in the Railway Budget 2012 - 13, South Central Railway has decided to inaugurate the weekly AC superfast express Train between Secunderabad and Shalimar and weekly express train between Kacheguda and Madurai. These new two trains on their inaugural run will be flagged off from Secunderabad Railway station on 28/05/2013 at 11.00 hrs. by Sri Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railway and Sri M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Secunderabad in presence of other public representatives and dignitaries. The weekly superfast express train will be inaugurated from Tirupati on 29/05/2013  

 The inaugural special Train No. 02774 from Secunderabad to Shalimar weekly AC superfast express will run on 28/05/2013 from Secunderabad at 11.00 hrs. to reach at Shalimar at 14.35 hrs. on the next day. The inaugural special Train No.02773 from Shalimar to Secunderabad weekly AC superfast express will run on 29/05/2013 from Shalimar at 19.00 hrs. to reach at Secunderabad at 22.00 hrs. on the next day. On regular service, the Train No. 12774 from Secunderabad to Shalimar weekly AC superfast express will run from Secunderabad on every Tuesday with effect from 04/06/2013 and on regular service, the Train No. 12773 from Shalimar to Secunderabad weekly AC superfast express will run from Shalimar on every Wednesday with effect from 05/06/2013. 

The inaugural special Train No. 07615 from Kacheguda to Madurai weekly express will run on 28/05/2013 from Kacheguda at 11.00 hrs. to reach at Madurai at 12.00 hrs. on the next day. The inaugural special Train No.07616 from Madurai to Kacheguda weekly express will run on 29/05/2013 from Madurai at 15.00 hrs. to reach at Kacheguda at 16.00 hrs. on the next day. On regular service, the Train No. 17615 from Kacheguda to Madurai weekly express will run from Kacheguda on every Saturday with effect from 01/06/2013 and on regular service, the Train No. 17616 from Madurai to Kacheguda weekly express will run from Madurai on every Sunday with effect from 02/06/2013.

The Train No. 12774 / 12773 Secunderabad – Shalimar (Kolkata) - Secunderabad weekly AC superfast express train will stop at the following Stations : Warangal, Rajahmundry, Samalkot Jn., Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram Jn., Srikakulam Road, Brahmapur, Khurda Road Jn., Bhubaneswar, Cittack, Balasore, Kharagpur Jn. and Santragachi Jn. stations in both the directions.

Running schedule of the weekly express train from Madurai to Secunderabad : Train will leave Madurai at 12.50 hrs. on every Sunday with effect from 02/06/2013. Train will reach at Kacheguda at 14.05 hrs. on the next day.

The Train No. 17615 / 17616 Kacheguda – Madurai - Kacheguda weekly express train will stop at the following Stations : Mahbubnagar, Gadwal, Kurmool Town, Dhone, Ananthapur, Dharamvaram, Madanapalle Road, Piler, Pakala, Chittor, Katpadi In., Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirapalli, Dindigul and Kodaikanal Road stations in both the directions.

Composition of the Train No. 17615 / 17616 Kacheguda – Madurai - Kacheguda weekly express train : One AC – 2 – tier, two AC – 3- tier, seven Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.
