All the initial problems related to running the double decker train in West Bengal has been solved and the train will be on the railway track from 1 September 2011. On 1 September, Saturday, Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi will flag off the train at Howrah station and the double decker train will start moving towards Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
The train (train number: 12383 Up) is scheduled to run on five days in a week from both Howrah and Dhanbad. From Howrah station it will run on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The time of leaving Howrah station is 3.20 pm and the double decker train will reach Dhanbad at 7.40 pm.
From Dhanbad station the train (train number: 12384 Dn) will start for Howrah station on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The departure time at Dhanbad station is 5.00 am and arrival time at Howrah station is 9.15 am.
Seven coaches out of total nine coaches of the train are air-conditioned chair cars and the train will stop at Burdwan, Durgapur, Asansol, Barakar and Kumardhubi stations.
